Wine, not beer.... Empty
PostSubject: Wine, not beer....   Wine, not beer.... EmptyFri Jul 26, 2013 1:43 pm

I'm busy making all-grain beers, but it's hitting fresh fruit season.

Rhubarb wine - 9 gallons put up already. We won't discuss the beet wine yet...

I have a line on a bunch of siberian apricots, http://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Prunus_sibirica

Does anyone have a source of fruit - rhubarb, plums, apricots, etc, that they would like to contribute to a wine?

5# of pitted fruited (plus sugar, etc) = one gallon of wine
I like to make 5 gallons at a time, so need 25# of fruit at a time.

Let me know if you'd like to collaborate.

Ted
