You know i have seen a few brews with blow off tubes and remember the foam, white looser and kinda runny and dissapates fairly quick....well tonight was the first time i had a blower..I stepped on the bubbler..and the foam is so thick it doesnt run much ..it just builds up around the top..kinda weird and i'm sur you'all have seen this type of foam..and it tastes bad..Jeff

This is the first starter i have done..and wondering since i did not see it actually bubble as i did it yesterday afternoon and didnt get to see it again till noon today if it would be done as it does have the trub on the bottom???

Also for those going to do starters ...if you use a flask make sure to put the DME in right away as if you boil the water first you will have a mess as soon as the powder hits the opening !! and it does burn you so quick.....Jeff
