Beer of the Month ClubPart of learning about beer is tasting new beers. We've been tossing around the idea of having the club get a beer of the month subscription. Obviously, amounts, types, cost, play a big part of this decision. The idea was well received at the meeting. We are looking for more input on the subscription. If you have any suggestions or would like to help reasearch this project please view the thread here:
Beer of the Month ClubPremium MembershipAfter a few years of use it's come to be that the Premium Membership may not be necessary anymore. While we still have club equipment and brews of the month, we understand that before we can eliminate the Premium Membership we need to find a way to create credibility. Setting attendance of meetings/events may be a good option for this. It was decided that the officers would try to hammer out specifics before presenting the topic again.
PaddleMike P took the paddle home for his Belgian Strong Ale.
This traveling trophy will be awarded monthly for the winner to take home and proudly display. At the end of each meeting we will look for nominations on outstanding homebrew of the night. This beer can be a new brew or a reworked recipe. Once a beer has taken home the paddle, it will no longer be eligible to win. When nominating a brew, look at flavor, style, and originality. A majority vote will declare the winner. If you win the paddle, make sure that you can have it back to an officer at the next meeting.
If I forgot anyone or any beers, feel free to post it. Sometimes as the beer flows, the notes get sloppier and I get more forgetful. Cheers!
