Thanks ...from what i've gathered it seems the cold break material play's a role in chill haze which i always get...I guess i always want every last drop of that wort....Jeff

Filtering before fermentation is no problem at all. Might even create a little extra aeration.

is there anything wrong with filtering wort before it goes to fermenter?? Using a course filter before the plate chiller to keep plate chiller clean and of course keep cold break material and hops out..Jeff
