Warning for Dogs and Hops..

I have desided to plant my hops at a friends house because my two dogs eat everything. Thanks for the heads up you just saved my dog's life.

Here earthclinic.com has a list for both cats and dogs with hops listed.

Personally I don't think my cat would give a hop a second glance. If it doesn't have 4 legs or wings, he's not interested.

I did not find any warnings for cats..maybe different digestive ...Jeff

At the last meeting when i mentioned that dogs can not eat hops a few said they did not know this..well here is the warning

WARNING: Hops can cause malignant hyperthermia in canines, usually with fatal results. Even small amounts can trigger a potentially deadly reaction, including “spent” hops from the brewing process. Immediate action should be taken if hops are consumed by a dog.

So those with dogs be carefull..just thought i would pass this along as if theres a few that didnt know theres more ...Jeff
