2 Mikes Harvest Ale Empty

My impressions of this beer: It's a bit too sweet for my tastes. The recipe is way too complex, and I am not sure what you would call it for a style, but when it comes to homebrews I guess creativity is in the hands of the brewer(s). Cheers!

For those of you looking for that recipe that might just use up some of those old ingredients, here is the recipe for the Harvest Ale that Mike and I made last year (11-14-09), trying to get rid of some old hops and grain.

Grain Bill:
13lbs - 2 Row
3lbs - Crystal 40L
1.75lbs - Munich
1lb - Vienna
1lb - Belgian Carapils
1lb - Belgian Caravienne
1lb - Belgian Aromatic

Hops (90 min boil)
1oz - Olympic 11%AA - 80 min
1/2 oz - Centennial 9.5% AA - 65 min
1/2 oz - Centennial 9.5% AA - 50 min
1oz - Cascade 7.2% AA - 45 min
1oz - Mt. Hood 5.4% AA - 20 min

Whirlpooled for 10 minutes
Dry Hop 1oz Cascades and 1oz Hallertau for 7 days

O.G. was 1.074 (65% efficiency)
F.G. was 1.021
Wyeast American Ale - 1056
Mashed 6 gals of water to get a mash temp of 152F and sparged 5.5 gals at 170F
