kegerator is still a great ideal. i will look into making a cooler for cornys in though if that is the clubs prefered route.

I like the idea. I too would feel more comfortable having the keg on ice.

I've been looking for some large coolers to come on sale too just to set kegs in. If we were skilled, we could look into making a long tall ice box, to fit cornys. We'll have to look into it more. This might make a good winter project for the club.

I vote the club gets a kegerator for Jeff's place, if he allows it.

Not a bad idea. One thought though is that you are still going to need the tubs of ice in my opinion. I wouldn't leave my kegs out for any length of time without an ice bath to keep the beer cold. It may come out of the tap cold, but you risk oxidation in the keg if you don't finish it within a short period of time.

I am just curious, if the club is interested in maybe investing in something like a jockey box or two. The prairie companions have one with I think 8 taps off a cold plate, you can get them fairly inexpensive $150-$250 then some tubing and spouts and we no longer need giant tubs of ice. Just fill the cooler with ice hook up the kegs, and label the taps. They had it set up in less than 10 min we had cold beer. Just a thought we should at least discuss it.

Found a 6 tap cold plate for $140 with shipping, it may have been for soda, and that might not work but there are coil versions as well!

What do you guys think?
