PostSubject: Hard cider and beer?   Sun Nov 03, 2013 9:35 pm

Hi,

I have a lot of cider fermenting. When it's done, I typically bottle it with sugar to carbonate. It's dry and tart.

I'd like to take some of the finished product, and prior to bottling, set it aside to add to beer. I've read about folks adding apple juice to beers, but this is different.

Any ideas about adding a fully fermented apple cider to a beer? I'm thinking about doing it when I bottle the beer - mixing finished beer and finished cider, and then bottling.

Suggestions as to the technique and what style of beer to use?

Thanks!
