I will find that out...i am sure he would like to come to the hause and have a few ...and i really believe it is open but i dont know about the charges...Jeff

That's really cool news. For those of you who arn't familiar with Bob and his series "The Chemistry and Alchemy of Brewing", you can read more about him here.

It would be great to be able to have a chance to talk with him. Jeff, do you know if the seminar is open to everyone? Do you think Bob would want to hang out with the club while in town?

i know i have not frequented here or been to the meetings ...i have been depresssed just looking forward to all the work at my house and now the work is starting...but here is some info on Bob and more info to follow... he contacted me and i will be helping put on his show// i am sure if any of the MRM guru's could contact me i can set up better help....maybe a brew or yeast or something will be done...

On November 16th – 19th Bob Bates will be in Bismarck, hosted by chemists at the university. he is a food technologist, so he will be participating in the Visiting Science Series at the collage and he has a particular interest in fermentation technology, especially brewing. One of his presentations will be on that topic. As a long time craft beer aficionado, brewer, and active member in the Hogtown Brewers and AHA, he always like to interact with like minded folks.

Naturally, he hopes to become familiar with the local scene. In fact, it’s been his experience that he can learn much from local brewing communities. he is looking forward to his visit and sampling local wares.
