Maybe a meeting date change for Oct ??

It's on the calendar. Jeff, what would you like us all to bring? Are we doing this potluck style?

We don't have to replace the Tuesday meeting, if folks want to keep it.

Are you talking about having the meeting on Sat. Oct. 9? Or Sunday Oct. 10? You have Sunday Oct. 9. If it's Sunday Oct. 10 I won't be able to make it. I will be working my niece's benefit that day.

for the pit wood i really like to use pallets...it seems 90% of them are the crap oak and that hardwood works good...and it takes about 10 or 12 and i still have a bunch of those at the house..and have to burn those up,,,,.but ripping them up is the hard part..i use a 6 foot 15 pound ice pick..its a good work out...so just bring a coule brews and i'll be happy...i might wait for help to rip the pallets..i will send some pics to Randi so she can post them of my back yard..Jeff

oh Mike the hole is dug and bricked and tried once already......just need fire and spread some dirt on top of lid when meat is put in to cut the oxygen...Jeff

Rmember for those that cant make sunday you could still come saturday nite to pitch the pork...and warm up with the big flames....its always awsome when the fire is in a deep hole.And Tyler just tell your wife she can hold Yoshi before the lunch.....Jeff

Sundays are difficult for me but I think it sounds like a fantastic idea.

If all agree i would host a Sunday lunch Oct 9th at my backyard patio...instead of meeting on Tuesday the 5th...I would have a member fire build for the pit on Saturday nite to put the meat in and then Sunday take it out and have an afternoon lunch and refreshmentst...But i'm not the one in charge, just a suggestion...Jeff
